Postdoctoral researchers and PhD students

We have open positions for qualified candidates from the physical, biological or mathematical sciences to work in our areas of interest. Our projects have a theoretical and an experimental part, so interest in team work and good communication skills are desired.

We are looking for mathematical modelers who interact with experimentalists in collaborating labs and in our group. Prior knowledge of cell biology is not required but would be an advantage. In particular, we invite applications for a senior postdoctoral position with the opportunity to independently supervise PhD students and also develop own projects.

We would also like to hear from biologists/biochemists/biophysicists interested in chromatin regulation, to work experimentally (fluorescence microscopy, ChIP) in a collaborative project of ours with Karsten Rippe and Ingrid Grummt . Mathematical training is not necessary but a keen interest in quantitation and mechanistic understanding is a prerequisite.
